How do I find a similar marker in another brand?

Choose the source brand and its marker set, search for a color code or name, then choose the target set you own. The converter compares digital swatches using CIEDE2000 color difference and shows up to three alternatives from that target set. Use Swap to compare in the other direction.

A similar digital color is a starting point. It is not proof that two inks look identical: test one layer of each marker on the same paper, let it dry, and compare in the same light.

Example from the current digital palette: DecoTime 273 Blue Berry is closest to Ohuhu BV28 Bluebonnet in Honolulu 320 (old Honolulu code V370; digital difference 3.9). In Copic Ciao 180, the closest digital alternative is BV04 Blue Berry (difference 3.4). These are computed alternatives, not physical ink measurements. A different target set can produce a different result.

Which Ohuhu numbering should I choose?

Choose New Ohuhu codes or Old Ohuhu codes to match the labels on your markers. Some old and new codes overlap while referring to different colors. In Honolulu 320, new YR33 is Rose Cream; old YR33 maps to new Y29. This selector changes the code labels and search system, not the ink or set membership. Honolulu and Oahu mappings belong to their own series.

Does the DecoTime chart represent my box of markers?

The DecoTime option covers 312 colored Twinmarkers sampled from the official color chart. It is a reference collection, not a claim that your retail box contains every color. Check whether a suggested code is in your own box before using it.

Ohuhu Honolulu 104 is an expansion palette. The supported 216 and 104 memberships combine into 320 distinct colors. Copic here means Ciao, including its named 36 A–E and 72 A–B sets and the 180-color palette; it does not mean the entire Sketch range. Incomplete palettes remain unavailable until their missing color data is checked.

Can water-based markers replace alcohol markers?

You can compare their on-screen colors, but ink behavior differs. The Ohuhu 60 water-based palette is labeled separately from the alcohol marker sets. A color match does not guarantee the same blending, coverage or paper performance. Colorless blenders are excluded from color recommendations.

Where do the DecoTime, Ohuhu and Copic colors and codes come from?

Official charts from different makers are not calibrated against one another. Screen, lighting, paper and layering can change what you see. Matching names alone are not evidence of matching colors.
