Does the Ohuhu Basic 120 set overlap with Basic 24?

Yes. In the official V3 charts checked on October 13, 2026, all 24 Basic colors appear in Basic 120. If Basic 24 is your only set, Basic 120 repeats 24 colors and adds 96 new colors: 20% overlap and 120 unique colors in the combined collection. For example, Y111 repeats, while Y07 is new.

Example comparing Ohuhu Basic 24 with Basic 120: 24 colors repeat and 96 colors are new, giving 120 unique colors together.
A real comparison of the named Basic editions, using the official charts below. Color totals count unique new-system codes.

How do old and new Ohuhu codes affect overlap?

This tool compares new codes and can display the corresponding legacy cap codes. A code written on an older cap can identify a different color from the same text in the new system. For example, old YR33 maps to new Y29; new YR33 is a separate color. We never merge those codes by text alone. Honolulu and Oahu legacy codes also use different mappings.

What does a missing color-family code mean?

It means that a color code appears in your chosen reference set but is absent from the sets you selected as owned. Adding a candidate can close some of those specific gaps. The table groups by new-code prefix, such as Y, R, B and E. It does not judge whether a palette is balanced or whether you should buy anything.

Which editions are supported?

Basic 24, Basic 120, Skin Tone 24, Pastel 48 Sweetness and Pastel 48 Blossoming, for Ohuhu Honolulu / Honolulu B alcohol markers. Sweetness and Blossoming are separate editions. Match your own box to the chart before relying on a result; a set size alone does not identify its members. We currently omit Basic 48 and Basic 72 because two printed codes differ between their V3 charts and the Basic 120 chart.

Official sources and method

Each supported chart’s marked set region was visually checked on October 13, 2026. Regions outside that border are excluded. Memberships are pinned in this tool’s own snapshot. Existing sets are combined into a union, then each candidate code is classified as repeated or new. The colorless blender is excluded if present; black counts as a color.

Ohuhu’s official color-code index explains the new and old code labels. ColorBestie is independent of Ohuhu. This comparison does not verify stock, prices or retailer-specific box contents.
